PHASE 2:  College & Career Ministry

Ecclesiastes 3:6  “A time to seek…”

It has been a pleasure serving in the area of College & Career Ministry at Fairview Baptist Church.  This particular demographic, 18 – 25, can be the most exciting yet most vulnerable time of a young adult’s life.  Statistics show that many young adults can become disconnected with church and allow other pursuits such as education and careers to deter them from staying active in their local church.  We at Fairview want to be the exception and not the rule!

The goal of the College & Career Ministry at Fairview is to provide an environment that continues “laying the foundation” in the lives of these young adults through worship, Biblical teaching, fellowship, and events.

Some have asked, “Why the name PHASE 2?”  We chose the name PHASE 2 simply to denote a stage or cycle in life.  After our formal years of childhood and education we go to the next step or phase.  In this second phase of life some of the most important decisions of life can be made.  Where or will I attend college?  What am I going to do with the rest of my life?  Who will or will I marry?  While all of these questions are not always answered during this time, we want to assist the student and career adults in making discerned decisions that will honor Christ and will witness to the world around them.

 If you are in “PHASE 2” of your life come on over!  You will certainly be welcomed and loved.
