Slater Murphy
Associate Pastor: Music
| Brother Slater has served as Fairview's Minister of Music since 1985. Brother Slater states, "It is a joy for me to lead worship, teach praise through the choral ministries, and develop worship leadership skills among all ages."
Slater and his wife, Marsha, have been married for almost 28 years. Their children, Brian and Laura, both are students at Mississippi College in Clinton.
Brother Slater's scriptural anchor is Isaiah 50: 7
"For the Lord God will help me; therefore I will not be confounded; therefore, I will set my face like a flint, and I shall not be ashamed."

Marsha is active in several church ministries, teaching 7th grade girls Sunday School, singing in the Sanctuary Choir and in the Ladies Ensemble; playing with the Adult Handbells, and teaching 3rd grade Children’s Choir. Marsha works part-time as an area coordinator for an international student exchange organization.
